Schok Creative, based out of Atlanta, GA, brought us on-board to help produce this promotional video for Michael Komara’s book, Life in the Balance. It is a motivational book that is centered around 7 key areas, and how we can change our trajectory from settling for average, to striving for excellence.
Schok handled the pre-production including script writing and location scouting, and our production day services included filming, lighting and audio. Once in the post-production stage, our role was to assemble the initial edit. From there, Schok handled the graphics, audio post and coloring.
On the shoot day we worked from a script with visual notes, and after filming Michael’s on-camera portion we shot non-stop to capture the action shots (b-roll) in all the various locations. Filming with small format cameras like the Canon DSLR’s allowed us to capture our scenes without the intimidating feel of a larger format camera. A great example of this is how we were able to shoot unobtrusively in the corner of a coffee shop while maintaining a natural feel for the customers in the background.
